2. https://www.southernexposure.com/ – We lived a good portion of our married life in Virginia and were lucky to have Thomas Jefferson’s Heirloom Garden at Monticello withing driving range. We order our seeds for the garden from this company first because we trust the seeds.

We also check this list of resources on his website for the next book to read. Joel’s videos are amazing and we model our homestead based mostly on what we have learned from him.

I had already crossed paths with her family online through homeschooling and was excited to read about her homesteading hacks as well. This was an excellent place to start. Now she has grown into teaching specifics of homemaking and homesteading.

5. https://youtu.be/1B-1oqo0qSQ – Justin Rhodes You Tuber that I learn from a lot. He has guinea hogs and we also have them. It is not too often that we find other homesteaders with guinea hogs. I love that they garden with lost cost easy to use tools that are friendly to the soil. After an episode or 2 of watching this family, you will love them too.
